Key Responsibilities:
Perform loop checking, calibration, testing, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation systems and field instruments.
Carry out loop checking activities between field instruments, junction boxes, marshaling panels, PLC, DCS, and control systems.
Install, calibrate, and maintain instruments such as:
Pressure transmitters
Temperature transmitters
Flow transmitters
Level transmitters
Control valves
Switches and gauges
Verify instrument cable continuity, polarity, insulation resistance, and proper termination before commissioning activities.
Assist during pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and shutdown activities.
Read and interpret:
P&ID drawings
Instrument loop diagrams
Hook-up drawings
Wiring diagrams
Cable schedules
Conduct calibration using standard calibration equipment and maintain calibration records.
Troubleshoot instrument and control system issues and perform corrective actions.
Ensure all instrument installations and loop checks are completed as per approved drawings, project specifications, and client standards.
Coordinate with QC, commissioning, and engineering teams for inspection and testing activities.
Ensure proper tagging and identification of instruments and cables at site.
Prepare daily reports and update work progress to supervisors and engineers.
Follow all safety procedures, permit systems, and company HSE requirements during field activities.

Qualification & Experience:
Diploma / ITI in Instrumentation, Electronics, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or refinery projects.
Experience in loop checking and commissioning activities preferred.

Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of PLC/DCS systems.
Familiarity with calibration tools and test equipment.
Good troubleshooting and communication skills.
Ability to work independently at site and during shutdown activities.
