Main Duties & Responsibilities.
• Supervise and manage daily operations of the CNC Machine Shop, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
• Ensure timely and high-quality execution of all machining jobs for ship repairs, conversions, and fabrication segments
• Implement and enforce all safety protocols and procedures within the machine shop to maintain a safe working environment.
• Take full responsibility for CNC CAD/CAM programming, including creation, optimization, and verification of machining programs.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting machining issues, ensuring optimal machine performance and finished product quality.
• Allocate manpower effectively, assign tasks to machinists and CNC operators, and monitor their performance.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork within the machine shop.
• Oversee and ensure the quality execution of all machining jobs, including in-process and final inspection. Quality control adherence maintained at 100%.
• Review existing machine shop procedures, processes, and policies, providing constructive feedback for refining/updating to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Adherence to industry best practices and internal standards.
• Manage on site in-situ machining as required by Company
