Accounting & Financial Reporting:
1.Handle full set of NBFC accounting, inter-company reconciliation, expense verification, fixed assets and balance sheet items accounting.
2.Complete month-end & year-end closing on time, prepare statutory financial statements, ensure compliance with local accounting standards and group policies, and support consolidated financial reporting
Tax & FBR Compliance
1.Manage full-range local tax compliance, ensuring all business activities meet local tax regulations;
2.Support business decision-making from a tax perspective, develop effective tax strategies to optimize the company's tax burden;
3.Identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks in Pakistan, establish internal control processes to reduce exposure to tax audits and disputes;
4.Lead communications with Pakistani tax authorities, handle tax audits, assessments, and dispute resolution;
5.Monitor tax law changes in Pakistan, provide impact analysis to HQ and relevant internal teams, and collaborate with local other functions.
Treasury & Cashier Management
1.Responsible for corporate bank account management, daily payment, expense reimbursement and petty cash control.
2.Perform monthly bank reconciliation, prepare reconciliation statements and fund ledger, ensure fund safety and book-bank consistency.
3.Conduct weekly and monthly clearing & settlement reconciliation with payment gateways, verify transaction records and follow up discrepancies.
NBFC & Regulatory Compliance
1.Follow SECP, FBR and NBFC regulatory requirements, submit monthly/quarterly regulatory returns on time.
2.Cooperate with external audit and special regulatory inspection; formulate and implement local financial SOP and internal control, strictly comply with financial & regulatory rules of NBFC industry.
Requirements:
1.Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
2.3+ years relevant local finance experience, NBFC/lending background is highly preferred
3.Proficient in full-set bookkeeping, month-end closing, statutory financial statement preparation
4.Good knowledge of Pakistan tax laws, FBR tax filing procedures, able to handle tax inquiry and audit independently.
5.Good knowledge of SECP regulations, NBFC periodic filing requirements and other related compliance requirments
6.Experience with banking operations and institutional communication
7.Fluent in written & spoken English, skilled in Excel & accounting software
8.CPA is a plus
