A finishing carpenter (or trim carpenter) specializes in the final, aesthetic stages of construction, installing detailed woodwork like molding, doors, cabinets, and staircases. They work with high precision to improve the visual appeal of residential or commercial spaces, requiring expert skills in measuring, cutting, and fitting delicate materials.
Key Responsibilities
Installing Trim & Molding: Installing crown molding, baseboards, wainscoting, and casing.
Door & Window Installation: Fitting and hanging interior/exterior doors, installing door frames, and window trims.
Cabinetry & Custom Work: Assembling and installing custom cabinets, shelving units, built-in furniture, and stair railings.
Precision Work: Utilizing blueprints to cut and shape wood, plastic, or fiberglass with high accuracy.
Refinishing & Repair: Repairing or replacing existing woodwork and ensuring all surfaces are finished correctly.
Site Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skill: Proficiency with hand tools and power tools (e.g., miter saws, nail guns, routers).
Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail for precise, gap-free joints and finishes.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate angles, measurements, and material needs.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy materials for long periods.
Experience: Often requires 2–3+ years of experience in finish carpentry or a related field.
Duty: 8 Hours + Overtime.
Weekly one day off.
Salary BHD120.000 + Overtime
