• Record (manually/ through a hand held device) the movement, position and condition of containers
•Check and verify the container number, type, IMO code, and condition
•Ensure that containers moves and locations are properly reflected in the system with 100% accuracy
•Check and verify seals on containers when required
•Prepare tally, operation activity, and damage reports
•Observes safety rules and regulations at all times
•Create record for the over landed containers and inform vessel supervisor to verify with manifest clerk / vessel planner
•Record fault and report delays or breakdowns crane /equipment / terminal tractors, shipside or Yard side, hatch –cover opening delays, ship crane rigging delays etc
•Ensure safe working condition for lashers
•Ensure all documents used on the vessel operations side is returned back information clerks on vessel operations completion
•Instruct tractor trailers about container location in the yard
•Ensure twist locks are attached properly and detached while loading and discharging
•Ensure unlashing of discharging container, hatch cover unlocked and lashing material are segregated while discharging it.
•Ensure the loading bay and cell guide are in good condition
•Guides Q/Crane operator to discharge and load on proper location•
