Duties and responsibilities:
Interpret technical designs and blueprints, ensuring that construction aligns with the specifications.
Mark out the location of new structures and ensure the construction follows the planned dimensions.
Provide technical advice to the team on how to execute construction tasks.
Ensure that the materials and workmanship comply with the technical specifications and standards.
Maintain detailed records, including drawings, reports, and technical documentation.
Work closely with architects, consultants, and the project manager to resolve technical issues and plan out further construction phases.
Conduct site surveys and take precise measurements to ensure the project stays aligned with its design.
Ensure that the correct materials and tools are used for each part of the construction.
Oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure they are executed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards.
Manage and coordinate site workers, subcontractors, and resources. Ensure that labor is sufficient and properly organized.
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, local building codes, and environmental requirements.
Conduct regular inspections of the site to identify any potential issues, defects, or areas that need improvement.
Monitor the use of construction materials and ensure that resources are used efficiently.
Maintain records of site activities, daily progress, materials used, and any incidents or accidents that occur.
Address any issues that arise during construction, such as delays, technical problems, or quality concerns.
