1. Equipment Inspection

Inspect cranes, forklifts, manlifts, telehandlers, and other lifting equipment before use.

Verify valid inspection certificates and equipment documentation.

Check SWL (Safe Working Load) markings and load charts.


2. Lifting Gear Inspection

Inspect wire ropes, shackles, hooks, slings, eyebolts, and lifting beams.

Ensure lifting accessories are free from defects, damage, and excessive wear.

Remove defective lifting gear from service immediately.


3. Safety Compliance

Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco, and company HSE requirements.

Verify operators and riggers have valid certifications.

Monitor lifting operations and ensure approved lifting procedures are followed.


4. Documentation & Records

Maintain inspection reports and equipment registers.

Record deficiencies and corrective actions.

Verify third-party certifications are current.


5. Site Monitoring

Conduct daily site inspections.

Ensure proper outrigger setup, ground stability, and barricading.

Monitor critical and heavy lifting activities.


6. Risk Assessment

Participate in JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and Risk Assessments.

Identify hazards related to lifting operations.

Recommend corrective and preventive measures.


7. Training & Awareness

Provide safety guidance to operators, riggers, and supervisors.

Conduct toolbox talks related to lifting safety.

Promote safe lifting practices on site.


8. Incident Investigation

Investigate lifting-related incidents and near misses.

Prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.

Follow up on implementation of recommendations.
