Position Summary
The Deputy Accounts Manager will play a critical leadership role in overseeing the organization's financial operations, corporate tax compliances, and general ledger governance. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this role acts as the second-in-command for the accounting department. The successful candidate will transition transactional workflows into strategic frameworks, manage a team of accountants, optimize working capital, and guarantee flawless statutory compliance across ERP ecosystems.
Core Responsibilities & Duties
1. Financial Reporting & Analysis
• Supervise, analyze, and finalize core financial data to deliver highly accurate Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss accounts, and Cash Flow statements
• Conduct extensive Trial Balance controls and perform meticulous monthly, quarterly, and year-end ledger closing procedures
• Interpret financial trends and performance metrics in accordance with broader business and management objectives
• Oversee import-related trade finance accounting, ensuring all international shipping documentation and ledger allocations conform with corporate guidelines
2. Treasury, AR, & AP Operations
• Govern the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) infrastructure to safeguard working capital and optimize cash flow distribution
• Formulate standard procedures for evaluating and reconciling the General Ledger alongside Debtor and Creditor registers
• Authorize complex bank reconciliation statements and design strict systemic checkpoints to eliminate variance leakages
• Direct customer credit reviews and step in to handle critical vendor disputes regarding invoicing, discrepancies, and major payment holds
• Supervise payroll frameworks, ensuring structural control over compilation, staff disbursements, internal advances, and ledger distributions
3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
• Direct and review the continuous preparation, validation, and submission of Monthly Sales Tax Returns and Withholding Tax statements
• Lead end-to-end Value Added Tax (VAT) analysis, ensuring financial compliance with regional regulations

4. Team Leadership & Supervision
• Manage, mentor, and guide the daily outputs of junior accountants, cashiers, and tax executives.
• Review team tasks to ensure absolute data entry precision inside the corporate ERP system.
5. Audit Coordination & Governance
• Serve as the main interface for external and internal auditors.
• Prepare complete audit schedules, financial packs, and clarify technical queries to secure unqualified audit reports.
6. Management Information Systems (MIS) & Budgeting
• Develop actionable MIS reports and data dashboards to advise senior management on cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional department heads to monitor budget spending variances and build reliable forecasting models.
7. Deputizing & Financial Controls
• Act as the Finance Head in their absence, providing crucial approvals and executing critical internal operational financial controls.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) or Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting/Finance.
• Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of robust experience in accounting, with a distinct trajectory into supervisory or assistant management roles.
• Technical Skills: Elite proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) alongside advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, data lookup structures)
