Key Responsibilities:
1.Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
• Inspect, test, and maintain MCCs, switchgear, transformers, VFDs, and low-voltage distribution systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in motors, control circuits, and power distribution systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
2.Installation & Upgrades:
• Install, wire, and commission electrical equipment, including VFDs, motor starters, relays, and circuit breakers.
• Assist in electrical system upgrades and modifications to improve efficiency and reliability.
3.Safety & Compliance:
• Follow NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA, and plant safety procedures when working on electrical systems.
• Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and ensure compliance with arc flash safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• 4.Troubleshooting & Repairs:
• Use multimeters, megohmmeters, oscilloscopes, and thermal imaging to diagnose electrical issues.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems, motor circuits, and power distribution networks.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaboration & Support:
• Work closely with instrumentation technicians, operators, and engineers to optimize plant performance.
• Train and guide junior technicians on the best electrical practices.
