Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Design

Review and interpret electrical design drawings, specifications, and standards (e.g., SAES, SEC, IEC, NEC).
Ensure engineering deliverables meet Saudi Aramco standards (SAES-P-100, SAES-B-014, etc.).
Perform load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop, and short circuit studies.
Review vendor documents such as switchgear, transformers, MCC, UPS, and control panels.
Participate in HAZOP, SIL, and design review meetings.
Construction & Installation

Supervise field installation of:
Power distribution systems (LV, MV)
Transformers, switchgear, MCC panels
Cable trays, conduits, grounding systems
Lighting systems (hazardous & non-hazardous areas)
Ensure compliance with Aramco GI (General Instructions) and Project Specifications.
Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and instrumentation disciplines during installation.
Testing & Commissioning

Execute and witness:
Pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
Insulation resistance testing (IR), continuity tests
High voltage testing and energization
Validate system functionality against design requirements.
Prepare test reports, punch lists, and final handover documentation.
QA/QC & HSE Compliance

Ensure adherence to Aramco QA/QC requirements (SAQ standards).
Conduct inspections and ensure proper quality documentation (ITPs, checklists).
Enforce strict compliance with HSE policies, including:
Electrical safety procedures
Permit-to-work (PTW) systems
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
Coordination & Reporting

Liaise with Saudi Aramco representatives, consultants, and contractors.
Attend project meetings (weekly/monthly progress).
Monitor progress, identify risks, and propose mitigation plans.
Prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
Experience

Minimum 5–10 years in oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
Proven experience in Gas Processing Plants / Refineries / Energy Projects.
Hands-on experience working on Saudi Aramco projects is highly preferred.
Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of:
Medium & Low Voltage systems
Hazardous area classification (IECEx / ATEX)
Power system studies (ETAP or similar tools)
Familiarity with:
Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES, SAMSS, GI)
International codes (IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA)
Ability to review and interpret:
Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
Cable schedules and layouts
Earthing & lightning protection systems
Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and teamwork
Ability to work under pressure in a project environment
Good report writing and documentation skills
Certifications (Preferred)

Saudi Aramco Approval (SAP No.) – Preferred
PMP (Project Management Professional) – Advantage
OSHA / NEBOSH – Safety Certification
SEC Certification (if applicable)
Working Conditions

Site-based role in remote/industrial environment
May involve extended work hours and shift duties
Strict compliance with site safety regulations
