core duties and responsibilities :
Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to understand the exact requirements of a build.
Material Preparation: Measuring, laying out cutting lines, and cutting raw steel materials (beams, plates, and bars) to the correct size.
Shaping & Forming: Using heavy machinery like press brakes, shears, and rollers to bend, punch, drill, and shape the metal.
Assembly & Welding: Joining the cut and shaped pieces using techniques like MIG, TIG, or arc welding, as well as bolting or riveting.
Quality Control: Inspecting finished components for accuracy, checking for defects, and ensuring everything aligns with project tolerances.
Equipment Maintenance: Keeping workspaces clean, and properly maintaining and calibrating tools and machinery.
