Job Description
New Island Carpentry is looking for an experienced and proactive Carpentry Factory Supervisor to oversee daily factory operations and ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and according to quality standards. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of carpentry and joinery works and be able to prepare cutting lists from approved drawings.
Key Responsibilities
-Supervise daily factory production activities.
-Prepare cutting lists based on approved shop drawings.
-Coordinate with the production team to ensure timely completion of work.
-Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance with project specifications.
-Plan and allocate manpower effectively.
-Coordinate material requirements with the procurement department.
-Ensure proper use and maintenance of machinery and tools.
-Follow health and safety procedures within the factory.
-Report production progress and issues to management.
Requirements
-Minimum 2 years of experience in a carpentry, joinery, or furniture manufacturing factory.
-Ability to prepare cutting lists from drawings.
-Strong knowledge of carpentry materials and production processes.
-Ability to read and interpret technical/shop drawings.
-Good leadership and team management skills.
-Problem-solving and organizational abilities.
-GCC experience is an advantage.
