Sous Chef – Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and creative Sous Chef for a new, fresh concept in Bahrain, to support our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, cooking, menu development, and maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.

NOTE - Should know how to prepare juices, smoothies, sandwiches, waffles, crepes etc

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards.
Support the creation and testing of new menu items and seasonal specials.
Ensure proper food storage, stock rotation, and inventory control.
Maintain cleanliness and comply with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Help train and support junior kitchen staff when required.
Monitor ingredient quality and report any shortages or issues.
Contribute ideas to improve menu offerings and kitchen efficiency.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a professional kitchen is preferred.
Passion for cooking and food innovation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Flexible, reliable, and eager to learn.
