Mechanical Engineer – Medical Gas Pipeline Systems (MGPS)

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer specializing in Medical Gas Pipeline Systems (MGPS) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and compliance of medical gas systems in healthcare facilities. The role requires strong technical knowledge of healthcare engineering standards and a commitment to ensuring safe and reliable operation of critical medical gas infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and review Medical Gas Pipeline Systems for hospitals, clinics, and healthcare facilities.
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and validation of MGPS projects.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and healthcare regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks throughout project execution.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and hospital engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to medical gas systems.
• Prepare project reports, maintenance schedules, and operational procedures.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities for existing MGPS installations.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety and quality requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Medical Gas Pipeline Systems (MGPS).
• Strong knowledge of medical gas standards such as HTM, NFPA 99, ISO 7396, or equivalent.
• Experience with healthcare facility engineering projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and engineering design software.
• Excellent project management and coordination skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and reporting skills.
• Professional engineering certification or registration is an advantage.

Preferred Skills
• Experience in hospital construction or healthcare infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of medical gas alarm systems, manifolds, vacuum systems, and associated
equipment.
• Familiarity with testing and commissioning procedures for medical gas systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
