Please note that it is essential that all of the following must-have requirements are fully met:
At least five years of experience in operating enterprise networks within private cloud or data center production environments
Proven experience implementing and leading governance processes such as Incident, Problem, Change and Release management, combined with strong hands-on incident response and troubleshooting skills across routing, firewalling, connectivity and service exposure patterns
Strong understanding of security fundamentals and their operational enforcement in production environments
Deep expertise in networking, including WAN and LAN, routers and firewalls, ideally in enterprise environments using technologies from Cisco, Juniper and Palo Alto
Practical experience with network and security software such as ACI, Apstra and Panorama
Experience with connectivity services and tenant private networking, including connectivity patterns supporting production platforms
Good understanding of core operational processes such as incident, change and problem management, IT Service Management as well as SRE concepts
Hands-on experience with DNS operations and certificate lifecycle management, including issuance, renewal and rotation, ideally with Infoblox
Practical experience working with ITSM and collaboration tools such as Jira Service Management, Jira and Confluence
Experience in gathering operational insights from monitoring and observability platforms, including SLI, SLA and SLO tracking
Hands-on experience in documenting operational procedures and enforcing clear and structured runbooks or playbooks
Strong experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Mimir or Loki
Familiarity with enterprise DevOps toolchains such as GitLab, JFrog Artifactory, Backstage or Harness
Solid understanding of modern platform operations, including Kubernetes, containerization, automation and observability, with the ability to guide specialist teams
Knowledge of platform delivery concepts such as GitOps and Infrastructure as Code, for example Terraform or OpenTofu, ArgoCD and Helm
Very good proficiency in both English and German, written and spoken, at a minimum level of C1
In addition, the following qualifications are considered nice-to-have but are not mandatory:
Experience working in regulated or high-availability industries such as banking, telecommunications, public sector or healthcare, including exposure to enterprise ITSM and change governance in such environments
Experience with SRE practices, including SLOs, SLIs, error budgets and reliability management
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps approaches, for example Terraform or OpenTofu as well as Helm or ArgoCD, especially in cases where network and security configurations are deployed via automated pipelines
