Job Description: Junior Accountant
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Junior Accountant to join our growing bookkeeping and financial consulting team. In this role, you will work closely with senior accountants to manage day-to-day financial transactions, maintain accurate ledgers, and support process automation for a diverse portfolio of clients. Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Bookkeeping
Daily Transaction Processing: Record and verify accounts payable, accounts receivable, and daily bank transactions across various client accounts.

Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining general ledgers, ensuring all financial data is accurately categorized and up to date.

Reconciliations: Perform routine bank, credit card, and vendor reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Document Management: Organize, scan, and digitally file financial documents, receipts, and invoices, leveraging modern AI and automated data-entry tools.

Compliance & Reporting Support
Month-End Support: Assist the senior accounting team in preparing monthly financial statements, trial balances, and closing adjustments.

Tax Compliance: Support the preparation and filing of recurring tax requirements (such as local VAT returns) by gathering necessary source documents and verifying compliance.

Audit Readiness: Maintain clean, well-documented digital audit trails for internal and external reviews.

Qualifications & Skills
Education & Certifications
Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience & Technical Skills
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in bookkeeping, general accounting, or a corporate accounting environment. (Firm or agency experience is a plus).

Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern cloud-based accounting and ERP systems (such as Odoo, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks Online).

Tools: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, basic financial formulas).

Core Competencies
Attention to Detail: An exceptional eye for accuracy and consistency in data entry and financial reporting.

Adaptability: Ability to manage tasks for multiple client accounts simultaneously and adapt to new software workflows.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal collaboration and professional client correspondence.


Working hours: Saturday to Thursday

Expected Salary: BD 250-300
