The Senior Electrical Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems of spider cranes, Spider lifts, scissor lifts, and other access equipment. The role includes field service support, breakdown diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and ensuring equipment safety and operational reliability.
Skills :-
• Technical Aptitude: Expert understanding of electrical troubleshooting, basic hydraulic troubleshooting, CAN bus diagnostics, Sensor and controller diagnostics, Battery and charging systems, Use of multimeter and diagnostic tools and pneumatic systems.
• Learning Ability: Willingness and capability to quickly learn and apply new technical skills.
• Problem-Solving: Developing problem-solving skills to diagnose and address technical issues.
• Communication: Basic communication skills to convey information and receive instructions.
• Attention to Detail: Developing attention to detail for performing maintenance tasks accurately.
Safety Awareness: Awareness of safety protocols and the importance of workplace safety
Operational Tasks:
Electrical Troubleshooting & Repairs
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in spider cranes, Spider lifts, Vaccum Glass Lifters.
• Troubleshoot CAN bus communication systems, sensors, safety interlocks, and controllers.
• Repair wiring harnesses, relays, contactors, switches, joysticks, and control panels.
• Inspect and repair battery systems, charging systems, alternators, and starting circuits.
• Perform fault finding and repair of electrical and electronic system faults using electrical diagrams, OEM manuals, and diagnostic tools.
• Able to read and understand single-line electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and electronic components.
Safety & Control Systems
• Inspect and maintain:
o emergency stop systems
o overload protection systems
o tilt alarms
o outrigger interlocks
o limit switches
o remote-control systems
• Ensure all safety devices are functioning according to manufacturer standards.
Preventive Maintenance
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance for electrical systems.
• Conduct inspections and functional testing before equipment release.
• Maintain maintenance records and service reports.
Field Service Support
• Attend site breakdowns and emergency service calls.
• Provide technical support to operators and junior technicians.
• Minimize machine downtime through effective troubleshooting.
Team Support
• Guide and train junior technicians.
• Coordinate with mechanical and hydraulic technicians during major repairs.
• Maintain workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and spare parts.
