3. Mechanical Engineer
Mechanical Engineer will act as the on-site technical interface between the client/site team and the off-site engineering team. The role focuses on understanding site requirements, coordinating engineering deliverables, and addressing technical queries with practical and timely solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as the primary point of contact for all mechanical-related coordination between site and engineering office.
2. Understand site requirements and communicate clear inputs to the backend engineering team for timely deliverables.
3. Review engineering outputs (drawings, documents) prior to submission to ensure alignment with site expectations.
4. Coordinate with client and site technical teams to address comments and minor revisions efficiently.
5. Attend meetings with client/consultant and provide technical inputs where required.
6. Resolve routine technical comments independently and escalate complex issues to the engineering team.
7. Ensure smooth flow of information between site and design office to avoid delays.
8. Track mechanical-related deliverables, comments, and closures.
9. Support preparation and submission of technical documents and responses.
Technical Expertise:
1. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, chilled water systems, and hot water networks.
2. Good understanding of engineering drawings, layouts, and coordination requirements.
3. Ability to interpret site requirements and translate them into engineering inputs.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2. 5–7 years of experience in engineering coordination or design support roles.
3. Strong communication and client-handling skills.
4. Ability to handle discussions and close minor comments directly with client/consultant.
5. Middle East project experience is an advantage.
Software tools:
1. AutoCAD
2. Revit MEP - understanding and reviewing BIM models
3. Navisworks Manage / Freedom
4. HAP (Carrier)
5. Duct Sizer / Pipe Sizing Tools (Elite, McQuay, or equivalent)
6. Microsoft Excel
