Salary : 350 - 550 BD
Their core responsibilities :
1. Site Supervision & Execution Overseeing daily operations: Managing labor forces, subcontractors, and foremen to ensure work aligns with architectural blueprints and schedules.
Quality control: Inspecting building materials (e.g., concrete slump tests, steel grades) to verify they meet structural and industry standards.
Safety enforcement: Ensuring the construction site adheres to strict health and safety regulations to prevent workplace accidents.
2. Planning & Estimation Creating estimates: Assisting senior engineers by calculating the quantities of materials (such as cement, sand, steel) and labor costs needed for new projects. Drafting designs: Using software like AutoCAD or BIM to produce site layouts, structural details, and architectural drawings. Tendering: Preparing and organizing bid documentation for upcoming contracts.
3. Surveying & Layout Site measurements: Conducting topographical surveys and mapping out construction zones before ground is broken Alignment checks: Ensuring that foundational lines, column alignments, and elevation levels are perfectly accurate according to design parameters.
4. Documentation & Reporting Daily progress reports (DPR): Tracking daily work completed, material consumption, and equipment usage to report to senior management. Billing: Assisting in the preparation of measurement books (MB) and running account (RA) bills for contractors and clients.
