Job Description: MEP Projects Manager
Summary
A results-driven MEP Projects Manager responsible for leading, planning, and delivering
multi-disciplinary Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing projects across industrial,
commercial, and factory environments. Ensures seamless coordination between engineering,
procurement, construction, and commissioning teams while maintaining quality, safety, cost
control, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end management of MEP projects, from design review to execution,
testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Oversee electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, and ELV/BMS
systems across project sites.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and
project documentation.
• Manage project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation using tools like MS
Project or Primavera.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure
project alignment.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with project
specifications and international standards.
• Lead costing, estimation, BOQ preparation, and variation claims for MEP works.
• Ensure strict adherence to QA/QC procedures, safety regulations, and company
policies.
• Manage procurement activities, vendor evaluations, and material delivery schedules.
• Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports, risk assessments, and project
performance updates.
• Resolve technical issues, design conflicts, and site challenges through effective
coordination.
• Oversee testing & commissioning of all MEP systems and ensure smooth project
handover.
Required Skills & Competencies
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, industrial electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing,
and fire protection.
• Expertise in project management, planning, and execution of large-scale MEP
works.
• Proficiency in cost estimation, tendering, and contract management.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Familiarity with international standards (NFPA, NEC, ASHRAE, SMACNA, IPC).
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-coordination skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP (advantage), MS Office, and project scheduling
tools.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or MEP Engineering.
• 5–15 years of experience in MEP project execution, preferably in industrial or
factory projects.
• Experience in GCC projects is a strong advantage.
• PMP certification is a plus.
