To support our continuous expansion, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee our supply chain and procurement operations.
Job Role Overview
As the Purchasing Manager, you will lead the procurement strategy for all ingredients, packaging, kitchen equipment, and operating supplies. You will be responsible for sourcing high-quality products, negotiating optimal pricing, and maintaining seamless inventory levels to support our branches and production facility.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Procurement: Source raw ingredients, packaging, and F&B equipment from local and international suppliers.
Cost Management: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to maximize profitability without compromising quality.
Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with reliable vendors; evaluate supplier performance regularly.
Inventory Control: Partner with store managers and chefs to forecast demand, prevent stockouts, and minimize food waste.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all purchased items strictly comply with Bahrain’s health, safety, and food regulations.
Reporting: Maintain accurate purchasing records, track market price trends, and present monthly cost-analysis reports to management.
Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
Proven experience working as a Purchasing Manager, Procurement Officer, or similar role strictly within the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry. Candidates without F&B experience will not be considered.
Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of local and international F&B supply chains, vendors, and logistics in Bahrain.
Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and budget management skills.
Software: Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management software.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
