Role: IP Office Engineer / ASBC Specialist (Contract Basis)
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (on-site required for cutover; remote possible for some config work)
Duration: Estimated 8–11 engineer-days
Engagement type: Short-term project contract, not full-time employment
Project scope:
Upgrade of an existing Avaya system to IP Office R12 Server Edition. Hardware and licenses are already procured by the client — this role covers installation, configuration, and testing only.
Responsibilities:
Install IP Office Server Edition on 2x Dell R240 servers (primary/secondary resilience setup)
Apply and validate R12 Server Edition + Power User licensing (20 users)
Configure extensions, voicemail, hunt groups, and auto-attendant call routing
Set up and harden ASBC (Session Border Controller) — sessions, encryption, security rules
Reconnect/test SIP trunks and number routing
Integrate with company Active Directory (user/login mapping)
Configure Microsoft Teams direct routing/interop
Set up TeleTiger billing system (300-user license)
Lead testing and cutover (may require after-hours/weekend work to avoid live call disruption)
Provide documentation and basic admin handover/training
Required experience:
Hands-on Avaya IP Office Server Edition deployment experience (R11/R12 preferred)
ASBC configuration and security hardening experience — non-negotiable, this is the highest-risk part of the project
SIP trunking and number porting experience
Active Directory integration experience
Microsoft Teams direct routing/interop experience (a plus, can be split to a separate specialist if needed)
Avaya certification (ACSS/ACIS or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory if experience is demonstrable.
