Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Cook / Chef to prepare high-quality meals in a clean, safe, and professional kitchen environment at Home. The ideal candidate should have experience in food preparation, cooking, kitchen hygiene, and menu execution. The candidate must be able to work under pressure, follow instructions, maintain food quality, and support daily kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, cook, and present meals according to approved recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure food is prepared on time and served in proper portions.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, food preparation areas, and storage areas.
• Follow food safety standards, including proper food handling, storage, and temperature control.
• Check food ingredients for freshness, quality, and expiry dates.
• Assist in preparing daily menus, meal plans, and special dishes when required.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages of ingredients or kitchen supplies.
• Reduce food wastage through proper planning and portion control.
• Clean and maintain cooking equipment, utensils, and kitchen tools.
• Follow company rules, safety procedures, and supervisor instructions.
• Support other kitchen staff during busy operations.
• Maintain a professional attitude and good personal hygiene at all times.
Requirements
• Previous experience as a Cook, Chef
• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen safety.
• Ability to cook different types of meals as per company or client requirements.
• Good understanding of hygiene and food safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long working hours.
• Must be punctual, disciplined, and hardworking.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Culinary certificate or food safety training is an advantage.
• Experience in restaurants, catering companies, camps, hotels, or facility management projects.
• Knowledge of Arabic , continental, or international cuisine is preferred.
• Transferable Iqama is preferred.
