DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and coordinate daily coating, painting, blasting, and surface preparation
activities.
Lead and manage coating crews to ensure safe and efficient execution of work.
Ensure all coating activities comply with project specifications, approved procedures, and
HSE requirements.
Monitor surface preparation standards, including cleaning, abrasive blasting, and profile
requirements.
Coordinate with QA/QC inspectors for inspections and hold points.
Witness and ensure compliance with coating inspection and testing requirements,
including:
Surface Profile Test
Ambient Condition Monitoring (Temperature, Relative Humidity, Dew Point)
Dry Film Thickness (DFT) Test
Wet Film Thickness (WFT) Test
Adhesion Test
Soluble Salt Contamination Test
Dust Test
Coating Hardness Test
Visual Inspection and Defect Identification
Ensure proper mixing, storage, and application of coating materials according to
manufacturer recommendations.
Conduct toolbox talks and enforces safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
Monitor manpower productivity and prepare daily progress reports.
Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, and HSE teams to achieve project schedules and
quality targets.
Inspect work areas to identify and rectify safety and quality issues.
Maintain records of inspections, test reports, material consumption, and completed
work.
Train and guide crew members on coating procedures, quality requirements, and safety
standards.
Ensure all coating activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with client
and project requirements.
