Job Purpose
To perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, testing, and repair of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems. The role ensures reliable operation, equipment efficiency, compliance with safety standards, and uninterrupted facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC and refrigeration systems.
* Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment.
* Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, electronic, and electromechanical faults.
* Inspect and maintain motors, pumps, valves, control panels, thermostats, sensors, and electrical circuits.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
* Install and commission HVAC equipment according to operational requirements.
* Inspect refrigerant levels, identify leaks, and safely perform refrigerant charging and recovery procedures.
* Conduct routine maintenance of motors, bearings, belts, fans, compressors, and related mechanical components.
* Use testing and measuring instruments such as multimeters, pressure gauges, clamp meters, insulation testers, and leak detectors.
* Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests.
* Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Coordinate with maintenance supervisors and operations teams to complete maintenance activities efficiently.
* Maintain maintenance records, service reports, and equipment documentation.
* Support emergency maintenance activities whenever required.
* Adhere to maintenance schedules, work orders, and company procedures.
Qualifications
* Diploma or Technical Certificate in HVAC, Refrigeration, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or Electromechanical Engineering.
* Professional certifications in HVAC or Electromechanical Maintenance are preferred.
* Minimum 5 years of practical experience in HVAC and electromechanical maintenance.
* Experience in hospitals, healthcare facilities, or large commercial buildings is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
* Strong knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
* Ability to diagnose electrical, mechanical, and electronic faults.
* Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and technical drawings.
* Knowledge of electrical control systems, sensors, and automation components.
* Skilled in using maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
* Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
* Good understanding of occupational health and safety requirements.
