Job Description
We are an established food distribution company seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Purchaser / Procurement Specialist with exclusive experience in the Food Trading sector. The candidate must have a proven track record of sourcing high-quality food products, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing supply chain costs.
In this role, you will lead our procurement activities, ensuring inventory accuracy, managing supplier negotiations, and maintaining strong profit margins across our entire product portfolio (including perishables, dairy, and dry goods).
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing: Source, evaluate, and onboard reliable international and local suppliers specifically within the food commodities, dairy, and produce sectors.
Negotiation & Pricing: Negotiate competitive pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to maximize commercial profit margins.
Inventory & Demand Planning: Work closely with warehouse and inventory teams to monitor stock levels, minimize waste, and prevent stockouts using modern ERP systems.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all imported and locally sourced food items strictly comply with Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) regulations and quality standards.
Supplier Management: Maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with key vendors and resolve any commercial disputes or shipping discrepancies efficiently.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of solid procurement experience strictly within the Food Trading / F&B distribution industry. (Experience in other industries will not be considered).
Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of global and local food supply chains, shelf-life management, and temperature-controlled logistics.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in using data tools and ERP systems (experience with inventory modules is highly preferred).
Skills: Sharp negotiation skills, analytical thinking for costing/margin calculations, and excellent communication skills.
Location: Based in Riyadh with a transferable Iqama.
Immediate Joiners will be preferred.
