Project Scope: Enterprise Fleet Management System (FMS)
Architecture Location/Timezone: Remote (Alignment with Gulf Standard Time preferred)
Project Objective:
The engineer will be responsible for building a secure, isolated middleware layer that interfaces physical vehicle MDVR hardware with a custom, single-page application (SPA) HTML5 dashboard. The architecture must ensure 100% data localization and custody for the client. The hardware manufacturer must have zero sightline or access to the live telemetry streams, video archives, or driver biometrics.
Key Responsibilities:
Middleware Server Deployment: Deploy and configure proprietary Linux-based middle-tier software components (MiddleServer, StreamServer, FileSaveServer) on an isolated, client-managed infrastructure (AWS EC2 + S3 or local on-premise hardware).
Network & Port Architecture: Configure, map, and secure standard network sockets across proprietary hardware communication layers (Port 9090 for control/alarms, 9091 for real-time video, and 9093 for historical alarm playback).
Video Stream Transcoding: Build a pipeline to convert raw H.264/H.265 video streams pulled from hardware sockets into web-ready formats (e.g., HLS or WebRTC) for native playback within standard HTML components.
REST API & Webhook Layer: Write a backend service (Node.js, Python, or Go) to intercept incoming HTTP POST alarm requests and parse structured telemetry payloads (event.json) containing spatial vectors, speed profiles, and device signatures into a local relational database.
Government Database Integrations: Build API data fetchers to sync driver and vehicle data streams against local compliance endpoints .
Storage Lifecycle Scripts: Implement automatic server storage cleanup policies based on user constraints to manage local disk parameters or private AWS S3 data limits seamlessly. Required Technical Profile
Languages: High proficiency in Node.js (TypeScript), Python, or Go.
Streaming Media Infrastructure: Deep knowledge of real-time protocols (RTSP, RTMP, WebRTC) and media toolkits like FFmpeg for dynamic transcoding.
Infrastructure Management: Strong background with AWS (EC2, S3, SNS, SQS) or baremetal Linux server network tuning (firewalls, reverse proxies, socket handling).
API Frameworks: Experienced in creating lightweight, secure RESTful APIs to populate frontend dashboards.
