Principal Duties:
• Prepare, revise, and maintain technical manuals, procedures, specifications, and project deliverables in accordance with client and industry requirements.
• Develop supporting documentation including Inspection & Test Plans, Method Statements, Project Execution Plans, HSE and Quality Procedures, Operations & Maintenance Manuals, and Project Close-Out/Turnover Dossiers.
• Convert complex engineering and technical content into documentation that is clear, accurate, and suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Liaise closely with the Document Control function to ensure adherence to numbering conventions, revision protocols, and transmittal procedures.
• Ensure all documentation conforms to Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES), Materials System Specifications (SAMSS), Saudi Aramco Procedures (SAP), and ISO 9001 Quality Management requirements.
Candidate Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or a related discipline.
• At least of 5 years of technical writing experience within the EPC, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Refining sectors.
• Demonstrable prior experience on a Saudi Aramco project is essential
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required; working knowledge of SharePoint, Aconex, or an equivalent Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) is preferred
• Strong command of written and spoken English, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform effectively under project deadlines
Desirable Certifications:
Certified Professional Technical Communicator (CPTC)
Formal certification in Project Documentation Management
