Job Title: Cook – Rice / Pastry / Grill
Reports To: Head Chef / Kitchen Supervisor

Job Summary

The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality rice dishes, pastries, and grilled menu items while maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and consistency. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.

Prepare and cook rice dishes according to standard recipes and portion sizes.
Prepare, bake, and decorate pastries, desserts, and baked goods as required.
Prepare and grill meats, seafood, vegetables, and other menu items to quality standards.
Ensure all food is prepared and presented consistently and on time.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to maintain food quality and safety.
Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, marinating, measuring, and mixing as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times.
Check inventory levels and report shortages or damaged products to the supervisor.
Assist with receiving and inspecting food deliveries.
Minimize food waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
Support other kitchen staff during busy periods and perform other duties as assigned.
