Key Responsibilities
Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices in accordance with OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO 45001, and client requirements.
Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, and environmental hazards, ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions.
Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessments (RA), Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), and develop effective control measures.
Issue, monitor, and verify Permit to Work (PTW) systems, including Hot Work, Confined Space Entry, Excavation, Lifting Operations, Electrical Isolation (LOTO), and Work at Height permits.
Conduct toolbox talks, HSE inductions, safety awareness campaigns, and emergency response training for employees and subcontractors.
Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and property damage events to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Monitor compliance with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure proper housekeeping standards across the worksite.
Coordinate emergency drills, evacuation exercises, and first aid preparedness to improve emergency response capability.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations by monitoring waste management, pollution prevention, spill control, and environmental protection measures.
Inspect scaffolding, ladders, lifting equipment, heavy machinery, electrical installations, excavation activities, and work-at-height operations for safety compliance.
Monitor contractor and subcontractor HSE performance and ensure adherence to project safety requirements.
Maintain HSE documentation, including inspection reports, incident reports, audit findings, training records, risk assessments, and safety statistics.
Participate in internal and external HSE audits and assist in implementing corrective and preventive action plans.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, supervisors, and client representatives to resolve safety issues and improve overall HSE performance.
Monitor occupational health programs, including heat stress management, noise monitoring, air quality, and employee welfare.
Promote a proactive safety culture through continuous communication, coaching, mentoring, and employee engagement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, client standards, and international best practices to achieve incident-free project execution.
