Contracting Company is seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of the Saudi construction market, excellent supplier relationships, and experience in procuring materials and services for civil construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Source and procure civil construction materials, equipment, and services.
Obtain and evaluate quotations from approved suppliers.
Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and monitor order status.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure timely material delivery.
Develop and maintain relationships with local Saudi vendors and manufacturers.
Ensure procurement complies with company policies and project specifications.
Monitor supplier performance, quality, and delivery.
Maintain procurement records and prepare purchasing reports.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of purchasing experience in the Saudi civil construction industry.
Strong knowledge of local construction materials, suppliers, and market prices.
Experience with procurement for infrastructure, buildings, industrial, or EPC projects.
Familiarity with ERP systems .
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement activities.
Valid Saudi driving license is preferred.
Preferred Knowledge
Civil construction materials (cement, steel, concrete, blocks, piping, aggregates, etc.).
Rental equipment and heavy machinery procurement.
Subcontractor and service procurement.
Saudi market regulations and supplier network.
Vendor evaluation and contract management.
