Job Title: QHSE Engineer
Department: Operations
Reporting To: Plant Manager
Location: Umluj, Saudi Arabia
Job Purpose
The QHSE Engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems across the plant. The role ensures compliance with Saudi regulations, client requirements, ISO standards, and company HSE policies while promoting a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:-
Implement and monitor QHSE policies, procedures, and management systems.
Ensure compliance with Saudi regulatory requirements and client HSE standards.
Conduct daily safety inspections throughout the facility.
Identify hazards and perform risk assessments (JSA/JHA).
Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
Prepare investigation reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and HSE awareness training.
Monitor contractor compliance with HSE requirements.
Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices.
Conduct internal QHSE audits and inspections.
Monitor environmental compliance including waste handling, emissions, noise, and housekeeping.
Maintain QHSE records, reports, statistics, and documentation.
Coordinate emergency response drills and emergency preparedness activities.
Monitor permit-to-work systems including Hot Work, Confined Space, Work at Height, and LOTO.
Ensure calibration and inspection of safety equipment.
Assist in achieving and maintaining ISO certification requirements.
Coordinate with client representatives during inspections and audits.
Promote continual improvement initiatives throughout the plant.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Science (B.Sc.) or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of QHSE experience in GCC countries.
