Requirements:
Cost Estimator – Master Gas Project
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for gas, pipeline, and related engineering/construction activities.
Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and scope of work to identify cost requirements.
Develop material, manpower, equipment, subcontractor, and construction cost estimates.
Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and commercial comparisons.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, and project teams to ensure accurate estimates.
Analyze project specifications and identify potential cost risks, exclusions, and assumptions.
Prepare estimates for tenders, variations, change orders, and additional works.
Maintain a database of current material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor rates.
Support budget preparation and cost-control activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure estimates comply with project requirements, client specifications, and applicable standards.
Preferred Experience:
Bachelor's degree/diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
Typically 5–10+ years of experience in estimation/costing, preferably in oil & gas, pipeline, or EPC projects.
Experience with Saudi Aramco projects/specifications would be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of BOQ, quantity take-off, construction methods, and market rates.
Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant estimation/costing software.
