Clenergize Consultants is looking for an experienced CAD Draftsman – Electrical to join its growing team. If you have extensive experience in electrical CAD drafting for substations, transmission systems, and renewable energy projects, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and update electrical CAD drawings, including Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), General Arrangement (GA) layouts, cable routing, earthing & lightning protection layouts, and substation layouts.
• Develop drawings for solar PV plants, BESS, MV collection systems, and grid interconnections.
• Produce transmission line drawings, route plans, profile drawings, tower/pole schedules, and crossing details.
• Prepare substation layouts for LV, MV, and EHV systems, including switchgear, transformers, protection panels, and control buildings.
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams to incorporate design revisions accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain drawing documentation, revision control, and drawing registers.
• Verify drawings against equipment datasheets, vendor drawings, and site survey information.
• Support engineering, tender, and project documentation with high-quality drawing packages.
Required Qualifications
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting/Design Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in electrical CAD drafting.
• Strong experience with LV, MV, and EHV electrical systems.
• Proven expertise in substation (AIS/GIS) and transmission line drafting.
• Experience with solar PV and/or Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
• Knowledge of MicroStation, Revit (Electrical), PVsyst, or PLS-CADD will be an added advantage.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred
• Experience in consulting or owner's engineering projects.
• Exposure to international renewable energy and transmission projects.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multicultural teams across multiple locations.
