SECI Strengthens Renewable Energy India With 1000 MW RTC Tender

SECI has launched a global Request for Selection for 1000 MW Round-the-Clock Thermal Mimic power from ISTS-connected renewable energy projects. The procurement follows a two-envelope evaluation process and includes multiple schedule revisions, with bids now due on 20 July 2026. The initiative supports reliable renewable electricity capable of serving demand throughout the day.
The tender provides developers additional time to refine commercial assumptions, financing strategies and technical configurations while maintaining competitive participation. Large integrated renewable developers are expected to be key participants.
The programme demonstrates how Renewable energy India is shifting towards dispatchable clean energy procurement. Read verified Indian Power news and Renewable energy news on EnergylineIndia.com.
