Job Summary
The Maintenance Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing civil maintenance activities within oil & gas facilities in compliance with Saudi Aramco standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. The role ensures structural integrity, safety, and reliability of all civil infrastructure assets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintenance & Inspection
• Conduct routine inspection of civil structures including:
• Concrete foundations (equipment foundations, pipe racks, tank foundations)
• Industrial buildings and control rooms
• Roads and asphalt pavements
• Drainage systems and culverts
• Fencing and security structures
• Identify structural defects such as cracks, settlement, corrosion, spalling, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare condition assessment reports.
2. Repair & Rehabilitation
• Supervise concrete repair works (patch repair, epoxy injection, grouting).
• Manage asphalt repair and resurfacing work.
• Coordinate structural strengthening activities.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES), SAMSS, and GI requirements.
3. Project Coordination
• Coordinate with:
• Mechanical & Electrical maintenance teams
• Operations department
• Safety and QA/QC teams
• Review contractor method statements, ITPs, and material submittals.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure work quality.
4. Planning & Documentation
• Prepare maintenance schedules and work plans.
• Estimate materials and manpower requirements.
• Maintain maintenance logs and asset records.
• Support budgeting and cost control activities.
5. Safety & Compliance
• Ensure all activities comply with:
• Saudi Aramco HSE standards
• Work Permit System
• Confined space and excavation safety requirements
• Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) before execution of work.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• 3 years Minimum experience in Oil & Gas maintenance projects.
• Experience in Saudi Aramco projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Concrete repair techniques
• Structural assessment
• Asphalt works
• Industrial drainage systems
