We are looking for a Purchase Trainee to join our Procurement team. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who have previous exposure to the automotive industry and are eager to build a career in strategic sourcing and supply chain.
Requirements
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience or internship in the automotive industry is preferred.
• Good knowledge of online and offline sourcing.
• Ability to negotiate with suppliers and obtain competitive prices.
• Ability to develop and maintain a reliable supplier database.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems is an advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow in procurement and supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
• Source materials from local and international suppliers.
• Compare quotations based on price, quality, and delivery.
• Negotiate with suppliers for the best commercial terms.
• Build and maintain a strong supplier database.
• Identify reliable and cost-effective suppliers for new materials.
• Follow up on purchase orders until delivery.
• Coordinate with Stores, Production, and QA for material requirements.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information.
• Support cost-saving initiatives and supplier development.
• Perform other procurement-related tasks assigned by management.
