Job Description:
We are a distributor of dashcams and smart electronics in Saudi Arabia, looking for a skilled Dashcam Technician to join our after-sales support team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining dashcam units, managing firmware/software updates, and preparing detailed technical reports for our brand partners.
Note: The interview will take place in Riyadh, and the selected candidate will undergo 1 month of training in Riyadh before relocating to Jeddah for the permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, test, and troubleshoot dashcam units returned under warranty or for repair
Perform firmware and software updates on dashcam devices
Identify and document hardware/software faults (e.g., lens damage, storage failure, power issues, software glitches)
Prepare detailed technical reports for brand partners, including issue description, root cause, and supporting video/photo evidence
Maintain accurate records of repairs, replacements, and RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) cases
Coordinate with the brand's technical team on recurring or unresolved issues
Test repaired units for quality assurance before return to customer or stock
Manage spare parts inventory related to repairs
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in Electronics Engineering or Electronics Technology
Certified Technician (Electronics/Electrical – certificate required)
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in electronics repair or technical support, preferably with consumer electronics/dashcams
Experience working in the KSA market is required
Familiarity with dashcam brands and firmware update procedures is a strong plus
Strong report-writing skills (Arabic/English) with attention to detail
Ability to use basic diagnostic tools (multimeter, soldering equipment, etc.)
Good communication skills to liaise with brand technical teams
Valid Iqama with transferable status preferred
Must be able to attend interview in Riyadh and complete 1-month training in Riyadh before starting in Jeddah
