Plan and manage heavy lift and specialized transport operations for projects.
Develop lift plans, method statements, risk assessments, and lifting procedures.
Coordinate with project managers, clients, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure successful execution of lifting activities.
Select appropriate cranes, lifting equipment, rigging gear, and transport solutions based on project requirements.
Supervise lifting supervisors, crane operators, riggers, and support personnel.
Ensure all lifting equipment is inspected, certified, and maintained in accordance with applicable regulations and company standards.
Monitor lifting operations to ensure compliance with safety procedures, lifting plans, and legal requirements.
Conduct pre-lift meetings, site inspections, and safety briefings.
Investigate lifting incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Manage project schedules, resource allocation, budgets, and operational performance.
Prepare operational reports, documentation, and client updates.
Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement throughout heavy lift operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience managing heavy lift, crane, or specialized transport operations.
Strong knowledge of crane operations, rigging, lifting equipment, and heavy transport methodologies.
Familiarity with relevant lifting standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
Excellent leadership, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
Relevant lifting or crane management certifications are an advantage.
