Flooding Disrupts Major Power Transmission India Hub

Heavy flooding on 17 July caused all three 765/400 kV inter-connecting transformers at the Champa pooling station to trip on Buchholz protection, temporarily disrupting a key 765 kV and HVDC evacuation hub for Chhattisgarh's coal-fired generation. The affected equipment was restored over 18–19 July after floodwaters receded.
