Operate the crane safely within the manufacturer's rated load capacity and operating limits.
Read and understand the lift plan and follow all lifting procedures.
Verify load weight and ensure the crane is properly configured for the lift.
Conduct pre-operational checks on controls, brakes, safety devices, and warning systems.
Communicate effectively with the signal person or rigger using standard hand signals or radio communication.
Ensure the load is properly rigged before lifting and never lift an unsecured load.
Monitor site conditions, including ground stability, overhead power lines, weather, and surrounding personnel.
Stop operations immediately if an unsafe condition arises or if communication is lost.
