Job Title: Workshop Manager
Job Summary:
The Workshop Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop and warehouse, ensuring efficient workflow, inventory accuracy, equipment maintenance, and compliance with safety standards. The role involves managing staff, coordinating repairs and maintenance activities, controlling stock levels, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and completed work.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all workshop and warehouse operations efficiently.
Supervise workshop technicians, warehouse staff, and support personnel.
Plan, assign, and monitor daily work activities.
Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
Coordinate the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, tools, and spare parts.
Ensure proper maintenance and servicing of workshop equipment and machinery.
Monitor procurement requirements and coordinate with purchasing teams.
Implement and enforce health, safety, and housekeeping standards.
Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards.
Prepare operational reports, inventory reports, and maintenance records.
Optimize warehouse space and improve operational efficiency.
Control costs and minimize material wastage.
Train, mentor, and evaluate team performance.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely completion of projects and customer requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in workshop and warehouse management.
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse operations.
Experience supervising technical and warehouse teams.
Good understanding of safety regulations and quality management practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/Inventory Management software.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
