Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable, local Part-Time Chinese Translator based in Madinah to facilitate clear written and verbal communication between our management, Chinese partners/subcontractors, and local workforces. The ideal candidate will have strong bilingual fluency in Chinese and English (Arabic is a plus) with experience in business, contracting, or trade operations.
Key Responsibilities
In-Person & On-Site Interpretation: Provide live interpretation during project meetings, site visits, and operational briefings in Madinah.
Document Translation: Translate operational logs, payment schedules, technical reports, contracts, and official correspondence between Chinese and English/Arabic.
Workforce Communication: Assist management in communicating instructions, safety protocols, and daily project milestones to Chinese-speaking workers and engineers.
Logistics & Coordination Support: Help bridge communication gaps regarding project updates, subcontractor coordination, and procurement needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
Residency: Must be currently residing in Al Madinah Al Munawwarah, Saudi Arabia with valid Iqama or work eligibility.
Language Skills:
Native or fluent in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written).
High proficiency in English (Arabic proficiency is highly preferred).
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in translation, interpretation, or site coordination (experience in contracting, construction, or trade is a strong advantage).
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with basic terminology used in contracting, logistics, and corporate administration.
Flexibility: Ability to attend scheduled meetings or site visits in Madinah on short notice.
