Job Summary
The PTW (Permit to Work) Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and administering the Permit to Work (PTW) system to ensure that all hazardous work activities are carried out safely and in compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and HSE regulations. The role involves coordinating with Operations, Maintenance, HSE, and Contractors to ensure permits are properly issued, monitored, and closed.
## Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage the Permit to Work (PTW) system for all site activities.
* Review, verify, and process work permit applications before work begins.
* Ensure all supporting documents, including Risk Assessments (RA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Method Statements (MS), and Isolation Certificates, are complete and approved.
* Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, HSE, and Contractors for permit approval and execution.
* Verify that LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out), gas testing, and other required safety controls are implemented before permit issuance.
* Conduct site inspections to confirm worksite readiness and compliance with permit requirements.
* Monitor active permits and ensure work is performed within the approved scope and validity period.
* Suspend or cancel permits when unsafe conditions are identified.
* Ensure permits are properly closed after work completion and the work area is restored to a safe condition.
* Maintain PTW records, logs, and documentation for audits and compliance.
* Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and incident investigations when required.
* Promote compliance with company HSE policies, client standards, and statutory regulations.
## Qualifications
* Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
* PTW (Permit to Work) Coordinator certification or equivalent training.
* Additional HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA are preferred.
## Experience
* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in PTW coordination within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Plant, Construction, or Industrial projects.
* Experience with client PTW systems such as Saudi Aramco, SABIC, SEC, or similar industrial facilities is an advantage.
## Required Skills
* Strong knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) procedures.
* Good understanding of LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out) procedures.
* Knowledge of Risk Assessment (RA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Method Statements.
* Familiarity with confined space entry, hot work, excavation, electrical work, and working at height permits.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PTW management systems.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high safety standards.
