Required Inspectors for fire fighting pipe line watching and coordinating before during and after the testing and commissioning.

The inspectors shall be responsible for monitoring, witnessing, coordinating, and documenting all testing and commissioning activities of the fire fighting pipeline system in accordance with the approved Method Statement, Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), project specifications, NFPA requirements, and applicable standards.

Before Testing & Commissioning

1. Review approved drawings of ITP, Method Statement, and test procedures.
2. Verify installation completion and readiness for testing.
3. Check pipe supports, valves, fittings, hydrants, hose reels, sprinklers, and accessories.
4. Confirm calibration certificates for test equipment.
5. Verify flushing, cleaning, and line identification.
6. Coordinate with the contractor, consultant, and client before commencing testing.

During Testing & Commissioning

1. Witness hydrostatic pressure testing and flushing activities.
2. Verify test pressure, holding time, and leakage acceptance criteria.
3. Monitor valve operation, pump performance, alarms, and control systems.
4. Witness functional testing of hydrants, hose reels, sprinklers, and fire pumps.
5. Ensure all activities comply with approved procedures and safety requirements.
6. Record inspection observations and report any non-conformities immediately.
7. Coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of testing activities.
8. After Testing & Commissioning
9. Verify rectification of any defects or punch-list items.
10. Review and verify test reports, commissioning records, and as-built documentation.
11. Confirm successful completion of all required tests.
12. Prepare inspection reports and submit final acceptance recommendations.
13. Ensure all documentation is complete and ready for client handover.
