Production Manager (Heavy Metal Fabrication)

Position: Production Manager
Qualification: B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering

About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Production Manager to lead our heavy metal fabrication and manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and optimising production activities while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, productivity, and on-time project delivery.

Key Experience Required
Applicants must have extensive hands-on experience in the fabrication and manufacturing of:
• Car Carriers and Vehicle Transport Equipment
• Mobile Substations
• LV (Low Voltage) Modules / E-Houses
• Data Centre Containers
• Heavy Steel Structures
• Industrial Fabrication Projects

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage all production and fabrication activities.
• Develop and implement production plans to achieve project schedules.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, and Project Management teams.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, engineering drawings, and applicable
international standards.
• Monitor productivity, resource utilisation, and production costs.
• Manage fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, painting, and testing operations.
• Supervise production supervisors, engineers, and workshop personnel.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE requirements and quality management systems.
• Resolve production bottlenecks and improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Oversee factory performance, KPIs, and timely project execution.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in heavy metal fabrication and manufacturing.
• Proven experience managing large fabrication workshops and multidisciplinary production teams.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication, welding processes, machining, assembly, and industrial manufacturing.
• Excellent leadership, communication, planning, and decision-making skills.
• Strong understanding of production planning, quality assurance, and health & safety practices.

Preferred Skills
• Experience with ERP/MRP production systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication documentation.
• Familiarity with international fabrication and welding standards.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving, and people management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting demanding deadlines.
