Key Responsibilities
Calculate required wire rope diameters, sling angles, and shackle Working Load Limits (WLL) for heavy loads of specific tonnages.
Inspect, select, and maintain proper rigging hardware (shackles, wire ropes, spreader bars, slings).
Direct crane operators using standard hand signals and radio communications during critical lifts.
Execute pre-lift risk assessments, job safety analyses (JSA), and strictly follow safety standards on site.
Requirements & Qualifications
Proven experience as a Heavy Rigging Specialist / Certified Rigger.
Strong technical knowledge of load weight calculations, center of gravity, sling tension, and safety factors.
Familiarity with international safety standards (OSHA, ASME, or local equivalents).
Ability to pass a practical technical interview (including rigging load calculations).
