Indian Methanol Prices

Methanol declined to Rs 55.50/kg in Hazira during the latest week, falling Rs 2.50/kg from the previous assessment of Rs 58.00/kg. Indian Methanol prices nevertheless remain substantially higher than the levels recorded two weeks earlier, with a fortnightly gain of Rs 10.90/kg. The latest decline follows the recent high of Rs 58.00/kg reached last week and represents a modest correction after a strong short-term recovery.
The monthly comparison shows an increase of Rs 4.50/kg. Over three months, however, the latest price is Rs 8.50/kg below the earlier level of Rs 64.00/kg. The six-month comparison remains strongly positive, with the product gaining Rs 24.75/kg from Rs 30.75/kg. Methanol prices in India therefore present a mixed period structure, combining a weekly decline and negative three-month movement with positive fortnightly, monthly and six-month changes.
The supplied range places the high-side reference at Rs 58.00/kg and the low-side reference at Rs 44.60/kg. At Rs 55.50/kg, the latest assessment is Rs 2.50/kg below the upper marker and Rs 10.90/kg above the lower marker. Indian Methanol prices remain closer to the recent high than the cited low.
