PDI Role & Responsibilities (Pre-Delivery Inspection)
The PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) officer is responsible for inspecting vehicles before delivery to ensure they are in perfect condition and ready for use.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Exterior Inspection
• Check the vehicle body for scratches, dents, cracks, or any visible damage.
• Inspect tires and ensure proper air pressure.
2. Interior Inspection
• Ensure the interior is clean and free from damage.
• Check seats, dashboard, mirrors, seat belts, and windows.
3. System Check
• Start the vehicle and make sure there are no warning lights on the dashboard.
• Check brakes, headlights, indicators, horn, and wipers.
4. Fluid Level Check
• Engine oil.
• Radiator coolant.
• Brake fluid.
• Windshield washer fluid.
5. Reporting
• Record all findings in the inspection checklist.
• Immediately report any issues or defects to the supervisor.
6. Safety Compliance
• Handle vehicles carefully.
• Do not drive the vehicle without permission.
• Follow all warehouse and safety regulations.
Objective of PDI:
To ensure that vehicles are delivered in safe, clean, and fault-free condition, reducing future complaints and operational issues.
