The position requires working in a remote location and being available for 12-hour shifts as per site operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Fire Fighting Systems
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of fire fighting systems.
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain fire pumps, jockey pumps, hydrants, hose reels, sprinkler systems, deluge systems, and associated equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure system readiness and compliance with applicable standards.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs on fire suppression systems.
Fire Alarm Systems
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm and detection systems.
• Perform maintenance on smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual call points, sounders, control panels, and notification devices.
• Identify and rectify system faults and communication issues.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, and maintenance activities.
Specialized Systems
• Operate, inspect, and maintain FM-200 clean agent fire suppression systems.
• Inspect and maintain Deluge Fire Protection Systems.
• Conduct inspection, maintenance, and functional checks of SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) equipment.
• Ensure all specialized fire protection systems remain fully operational and compliant with manufacturer recommendations.
Education
• Diploma, ITI, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Fire Protection, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
Experience
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in fire fighting and fire alarm system maintenance.
• Proven experience with FM-200 systems, SCBA equipment, and Deluge Systems is mandatory.
• Experience in industrial facilities, oil & gas facilities, petrochemical plants, or remote site operations is preferred.
Technical Skills
• Knowledge of fire alarm control panels and detection systems.
• Understanding of fire suppression and firefighting systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards and fire protection best practices is an advantage.
